English 3, Post 8 (FINAL), 'Tell us about a subject you enjoy studying'
Hi teacher, Well after thinking
about it, I realized that so far the subject that I liked the most has been
"Analytical Framework of Public Policies", and although before taking
the field and studying it, the truth was that it did not call me so much
attention because he thought it was just another branch of theory about public
problems and how they affect people, etc., he saw it more as a theoretical
branch of analysis of the causes of public problems, and of measures to be
taken as they are public policies but not taken to the practical in itself, but
rather in the theory itself, and that we were going to read a lot as well.
But thank goodness I was wrong,
since I was asked by a professor who, in fact, is a public administrator,
Eduardo Carreño, and what he was looking for with us was to teach us how to do
public policies, drawing up minutes, first using our research capabilities, then
to analyze the problem, to finally limit the problem and be able to find
possible solutions or improvements to it. And that is actually the course, a
subject that analyzes public policies, and teaches us that they are the product
of the State's decision-making processes in the face of certain public problems
and also that these decision-making processes imply that institutions
governments omit or act on decisions against this.
Finally I can remember, that it
is one of the branches that I have enjoyed the most in the race, since it
allowed to use my creativity in the elaboration of a minute, that it was the
final individual work and that it cost 50% of the course, and that I thought
not I could, but then I was able to solve it and try to hypothetically advise
by speaking to a government committee, with the completion of this minute.
And good as a bonus attached to
the professor Eduardo Carreño, who was very strict, but at the same time very
willing for us to learn and get out of the bubble of theory itself.
I also enclose the minute in
question that, in addition to being very difficult for me to do, because I did
not believe I was capable, I remember that when I was sending it, the internet
failed and I could not send it in the box with time that the teacher had put,
so I had to send to his mail and to my surprise, he was considerate, understood
the problem, and received it anyway.
Regards!

Checked. The only writing suggestion I would add is the following: "I have enjoyed the most in the race", this is probably a literal translation from Spanish. I would have written: "career" rather that "race"
