ENGLISH 4, POST 8: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES
Hi teacher: Well, my experience
learning English has had a challenge in the sense of speaking English fluently,
since the issue of pronunciation is an aspect that is particularly difficult
for me, although it is true that I can understand relatively well what I am
learning. speaking in English, the same is not true of me having to speak, so
it has been a challenge in my experience learning English at university. In
school, in particular, it was not an aspect that was taught so much due to
issues of time perhaps or of methodology, I always had written tests, and
sometimes a few-minute presentation, but very rarely.
At the university I feel that I
have had teachers with a very good disposition to teach in aspects of
pronunciation and they have been aware that not all of us have the same base in
English and that is highly valued, some teachers have been very funny and very
nice as people.
Even so, as I mentioned before, I
feel that I need to improve my pronunciation and fluency when speaking, with
the videos I feel that I have practiced that aspect more, but I still need to
improve, so I plan on this vacation to do small daily dialogues on different
topics to be able to practice my oral English.
To be honest these days I have
not been using my English so often, due to time issues since I have many
branches this semester and I have been very aware of them, but if I have
practiced my English in these blogging contexts, and that could It is said that
it is a weekly practice that has helped me not only to practice English, which
is the purpose of the course, but has also helped me to vent and distract
myself especially when we were in critical moments with the coronavirus, so I
feel nostalgic for this space and I will remember it fondly, the weekly blogs
will be missed. I really appreciate this space for written expression <3
Regards!
