English 3, Post 4, 'A Meal or Food you really like'
Hi teacher, It was difficult for me to decide on a specific meal, because the decision to choose one would be made according to the moment, and the craving I have, but I think that, for lunch, I would choose the beans, Granados beans are a typical dish of Chile , which consists of beans cooked with mazamorra or alternatively pilco (corn kernels, which is the tender ear of corn), onion, pumpkin, tomato and garlic. It is usually accompanied with a Chilean salad and pebre, I think this combination is exquisite, they are one of those unmissable homemade meals both in winter and summer.
The truth is a hot and filling
dish that I love, because it is delicious and tasty, being strong, it satisfies
you a lot, and I feel that it is a very rich mixture, I would say that its
flavor is very good, and it has multiple health benefits Since beans are low in
fat, they do not contain cholesterol and they are rich in potassium, iron and
magnesium. They also contain healthy fats and fiber, and lastly, they are a
good source of protein and can be a healthy substitute for meat, which has more
fat and cholesterol.
And of course I have to leave you
the recipe so you can prepare this delicacy, being honest they have always
prepared beans for me, but I have not done it myself yet, I also leave you the
step by step of how to do it.
First: In a large pot, heat the
oil and add the onion with the colored chili pepper and oregano, sauté for a
few seconds over low heat until the onion softens. Add the pomegranate beans
and pour the hot water, season and add the cut basil leaves.
After: Cook semi-covered and over
high heat for 15 minutes, stirring from time to time. Then add the squash cut
into cubes and cook again for 10 more minutes until completely cooked.
Finally: Lower the heat and add
the ground corn, cook stirring constantly (reinforcing the lower edges of the
pot) for 8 to 12 minutes until the preparation thickens and the corn and all
the ingredients are well cooked. Once ready, remove from heat and serve when
you like.
Tips: Accompaniment: To give a
fresh touch, you can accompany this preparation with a delicious and typical
Chilean salad, with pebre and bread.
I hope you like it as much as I
like it.
Regards!

Checked. Also a big fan!
